Writing has long since been a passion of mine. Within the confines of a blank page yet in the chaotic expansiveness of my mind, I settle into bliss and embrace the most sure fact way for me to untangle my thoughts and express myself. Sometimes that takes the form of poetry at other times in a large outpour of words with no general direction. I also take pleasure in writing of my experiences, hence the initial curiosity to establish a blog portion on this website I’ve created. For a long time, I never really thought to embrace writing as a form of income. I was subjected to the same belief many are told when it comes to trying to make a living off artistic forms of pursuit. “It can be supplemental but don’t expect it to be the sole stream or that’s likely going to be a lonely way to spend your days…in solitude and oh I could never be that disciplined to make my own schedule and follow it.” I’ve heard it all and for a while it made me angry. I fought people’s opinions but never did anything about it. What’s the usefulness in that? I am at the beginning of it all, figuring out each day, and I’m just going for it. It’s a curious process to enlist in. But it’s also kind of fun.
